Behavioral Emergency Response Team Program Excellence

On Thursday, March 22, 2018, the Behavioral Emergency Response Team (BERT) received the Program Excellence Award from Medstar Washington Hospital Center and the Board of Directors as recognition for the success of the BERT Program. The BERT Team is comprised of Registered Nurses, Social Workers and Mental Health Technician to respond in a supportive manner to all areas of the hospital for patients who are showing signs of psychiatric crisis or acute behavioral health symptoms.
