May is Mental Health Month

Tuesday, May 2, 2017

Since 1949, Mental Health Awareness Month has been observed in May by reaching millions of people through the media, local events, and screenings. Diamond’s employees play a large role in creating awareness of mental health needs and resources in their local communities. This year we are promoting Mental Health America’s “Risky Business” series. These flyers include risk factors such as prescription drug misuse, Internet addiction, and excessive spending. The goal is to raise awareness of the risks these types of behaviors present, and to help people who may be struggling to detect early warning signs. To read more about this series, please visit Mental Health America Risky Business

We also are sharing NAMI’s “Taking Charge of Your Mental Health” flyer. This flyer is a great reminder to people that it’s important to be proactive and take charge of your own health. To read more about NAMI's mental health initiative, please visit NAMI Taking Charge of Your Mental Health
